Comment on Comments

I've opted not to allow posting of comments by anyone and everyone who accesses this blog. I don't like limiting comments,in fact, I think it detracts from the value and intended purpose of the internet. Then why do it? Because the majority of comments are not from readers or visitors of FlashCooker news or the news blog, they are from those who wish only to promote their own blogs or causes. This, I wouldn't mind so much if the person or persons, themselves, had taken the time to read the article they were posting comments to, and genuinely felt that their particular site or blog was relevant and might be of interest or would benefit FC's visitors, but,alas, that is usually not the case. As with spammers , automated robots are often employed to post on wikis, blogs and forums and their only care is furthuring their own agenda, and the rest of us are just tools for there purpose. This, I know, makes it harder on legimate readers to leave comments,and for that, I am sorry, but if you are familiar with the ol'chef (MarkB), and his stomping grounds, (FlashCooker.com - Powerbullet Forum ) then you can find a way get my ear, or even an invitation to become a member, if you so desire.
